It's in the OPINIONS section of the T-U web site, so I think it's safe to call this one an OP-ED.. which it is. News-worthy.. yes... Blog?? no... It's not a "news article," nor is the T-U trying to pass it off as it is. It's opinionated.. but much less than other OP-ED's. I think it could also be put in the "letter to the editor" category, but this appears to be like a 'contributing Op-column.'
The "Joe Faraldo is president of the Standardbred Owners Association of New York. He represents more than 1,000 harness horsemen in New York." at the end of the piece gives it away.
