I did get fitted for them and from the couple of times I've used them, I do hit them better and farther than my old Titleist irons, Biggest Big Bertha driver. My swing's pretty repetitive, so just need to get the exact distances down.

FT-3 Driver, 3 wood, 5 wood, 3-utility (had a distance gap between my old 3-iron/5 wood and one of Ledbetter's teaching pros that was at a clinic I was at suggested I go with the utility to cover it). EXTRA STIFF shafts on all and driver angled for a slight draw (natural swing path's for a power fade). X-18 irons, kept the Ping putter w/insert (like it and wouldn't trade for anything) and kept the old sand wedge (old Carbite, but it works good enought that I'd rather hit out of sand than chip, so it's staying too).

I have a combo box of the HX tour and HX tour 56's that I'll use once I get the rust off my swing (which is starting Monday). Haven't played those balls yet, but what I'm used to playing are Titleists (been using those since high school golf team... just upgrading to the new ones when they come out with them).
Can't stand Slazenger balls... one of my buddies loves them, I can't hit them for anything. I did however try the Bridgestone's last year and those weren't bad... but still like Titleists better.
Have you played Mount Prospect Golf Course?

Funny you say that.... actually, no. Heard good things about it and will play it this summer. Got to play Shore Acres and Dubsdread though.

If I need a place to walk-on as a single (normally the case), I end up going to White Pines. Going to the range Mon ($10 for all you can hit!!!), and I'll definitely get my money's worth! Then try to start playing later in the week (if it's not raining, which I see more thunderstorms in the forcast).

It is beautiful now, although there is one ranger that I think has a real serious hemroid. MP needs walk on all the time, this last Sunday, they had 4 threesomes in front of us, including us.

About 10 years ago it was garbage, but they really sunk some money into it and it is really nice now

Do they let you walk, or is a cart mandatory? I'd rather walk, which is another reason I've played White Pines so much... can walk-on on a weekend, with minimal wait, if any... and can hoof it.

Oh you can walk, IT DRIVES ME NUTS.....

I can understand when good golfers walk, but when bad golfers walk, it drives me up a wall. If we ever need a 4th, I'll look you up.....

I'm one that plays 18, walks and unless hitting horribly, am long gone in 3.5-4 hrs. One time I played the west at WP in 2.5 hrs walking it.

If you need one, send me a PM... can't always guarantee I'll be available that particular day, but if so, would gladly join up and play 18.

We always play on Sunday's, not this weekend because we have graduations to go to (siblings/friends) at Prospect.
