But playoff time was choke time for him. Problem is that Duncan just murders Amare. Shaq got 40 put on him by Duncan while on the bench and then in foul trouble last quarter. They are not giving Shaq any help though. But I guess they dont help much on the whole anyway. The Phoenix team is very capable. I think D'Antoni is setting the right mental tone for once in that he is not giving up. And they have layed Parker down. Got him seeing double after the first game. Shaq body blocked him into the wood 2nd game. They have hit him pretty good without quite going flagrant. Ginobili, who is a great actor, got very close to sending Barbosa away (Barbosa swung at him on the ground). The league reviewed it and decided no suspension. I thought Barbosa might be gone. I am still waiting to see how the NBA will handle having the Spurs in the finals. I dont see how they cannot try and get SA out. The world wants Boston against LA. The ratings and the NBA want this. I am not a conspiracy guy, but I cant see how Stern can possibly be pleased with San Antonio in the Finals again. The NBA does not advertise good basketball, why the heck would they want a real team in the Finals. Boston supplies that with viewership, with dunks, and bravado. The Spurs dont shoot off their mouths enough, or dunk enough. Duncan can whine, but he is not going to stick his massive hand in his face and do some Soulja boy dance. He will not call Shaq an idiot or try whistling while Shaq is shooting fouls. Spurs are just not Jerry Springer enough for the masses. Too little playground also. Way too many normal people who happen to be good basketball players. |

![]() Phoenix is not good at all. They had the worse record of the western conference playoff teams against teams in the western conference.
I am starting to wonder if Detroit is in trouble. |

Ya crazy man. I think that makes Phoenix capable. Unless they both are crappy. And I think there are a lot worse teams in the West than Phoenix. |

![]() Phoenix is not good on D.
But the Spurs shot the hell out of the ball. This is the best shooting game they have had all year, numbers be damned. This is a playoff game and they just hit all of their jumpers. The game becomes very easy if most of your shots go down. You look like a great team and Popovich looks like a genius. That is the bottom line of game 3. Spurs shot extraordinarily well. I have never seen Parker make this many jump shots. He drove them silly game 2. They back off to shut down the drive, he hits everything. Shaq against Duncan is irrelevant with Parker doing as he pleases. The PG's in the West make the East look pitiful at this position (D.Wade playing hurtthis year). Alston returns and McGrady gets to actually play his game, Houston wins. Houston is so much better with this guy. Maybe Rose should be #1 in the draft, even if it takes a year to get acclimated. |
