Is it simply because the Tiago race was hand timed and they threw the time out and it was in error?? That's what the DRF has on their site for Beyers for those races.

The final time of the Oaklawn Park Handicap has been corrected.

As you mentioned - there was an error with the timer (the opening quarter mile was posted in 41 seconds and change) and the race was hand timed.

I guess who ever came up with the 1:50.34 clocking when they first hand timed it got it wrong badly. They have the race almost two seconds faster now.
