He ran okay in the Florida Derby, but certainly nothing to get too excited about and he really didn't prove The Bid wrong. I watched some of Tomcito's races prior to the Fla. Derby. Didn't he come off the pace there too, so why would his training be changed?

Who cares where he is bred? What does that matter?
It is important when it comes down to money. Just read and learn.

You want to make money? You start learning so that you don't miss on that trifecta next time.

U want to argue for the sake of arguing, to me personally that is a waste of your time & mine.

His training was changed because there is quite a difference in running 1 1/2 miles as a 2 1/2 year old going against 3 year olds than racing 1 1/8 miles against horses of his same age. If you saw the Derby Nacional at the distance of 1 1/2 miles, he was coming also from far behind the pace in a heavy track (I emphasize heavy). At Gulfstream they knew they had to be closer to the pace to have a better chance but Chavez screwed up.

Why did I tell you that he was a Kentucky bred? Can you figure that one out? Because he was used to the feed already in the United States and I don't think it will take him a long time to transition to the American feed again. Basically he is home.
