yeah but hindsight. I mean if War Pass hits the board welcome to .10 payoff. Who would've thought War Pass was going to lose much less not even hit the top 3?

Even though War Pass towered over everything in that race on form - you have to wonder what is going through someones head when they are willing to risk large sums of money to try and make a $0.05 profit on the dollar on any horse race,
Let alone one with a horse who you knew going in was clearly very likely to be taken out of his game and given an education. The closest thing I've ever seen to a rational bridgejumping situation was when Medaglia D' Oro raced against four other tomato cans in the Oaklawn Park Handicap. You got $0.10 on your dollar because of the rules in Arkansas - and the horse who ran 2nd in that race, Slider, had been running at Mountaineer. MDO was also an older horse who always fired - and he was trained by the most careful good horseman you'll ever see.
