![]() The Par 5 13th is also going to be stretched out to over 600 yards. The carry, over the canyon is 250 yards plus. Yesterday, they showed an ariel of the new tee box. Visually, very intimadating.
Torrey will be a totally different course this summer, but I like this Tiger guy's chances alot. ![]() ![]() |

![]() I guess the reason Tiger wins so easily in San Diego, and loses(or wins by a shot in a playoff) in Dubai is because he can read the greens a lot easier in San Diego. He has lost to lightweights Bjorn, and O'MEARA(at the age of like 47) in Dubai.Doesn't help that he has to travel to the other side of the earth, too. In May 2001 I flew to NYC,and my equilibrium was off the whole time I was there. I kept thinking it would go away, but it didn't go away until 2weeks after I got back.He is used to flying ,but that's still a long trip. For the average person it would be like 20 hours. You would probably have a connect in Europe. For him(on his private jet) maybe they can get it down to 12 hours. The quickest nonstop commercial jet I see listed is like 15 hours one way(Houston-Dubai.)

Reminds me very much of the way he looked when he won this tournament 2 years ago.Field is even more intimidated this time, though. They really get paralyzed when they get close to him.It reminds of this little footage here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jgptxyGjkc Note the production style(the use of the golden arrow is quite a fancy touch.) The film looping etc. indeed invokes memories of an artist like (the one n' only) Leni Riefenstahl. Last edited by SCUDSBROTHER : 02-01-2008 at 12:16 PM. |

Woke up just in time to see him put his 2nd shot in the water on the par 5 18th hole.He wanted to make 3,and be a shot back of Els going into Sunday.Instead, missed putt for a 5,and is 4 shots back.He has won this thing once(and that was a gift from both Richard Green and Els.)The 2 most predictible guys are there in front of him(ELS N' STENSON.)Truth be known,Els should of won this 4 or 5 times already(fairly weak mentally.)Tiger will try very hard.He was back by what? 3 shots two years ago(into Sunday.) He just doesn't care for these greens. He doesn't like the 18th hole.Doesn't care for the sandy winds, and probably has allergies that stoke up in this part of the world. For sure, something about this tournament bothers him. That's why it's a great tournament. It's a true challenge.
