I have the feeling this is the type of day where I should have gone deeper where I single, and should have singled where I spread my tickets... so I think I'll lay off today and wait for Oonagh Maccool on Sunday.
As for today, I stand by First Defence as a good choice, but there are certainly plenty of quality horses that can beat Lady of Venice this afternoon.. I will be rooting for LOV though. Good Luck.

In the contest we had to bet rces 2 and 8. Unfortunately, everyone in the contest had the same horses. Lukas's horse is a good one. I saw it run in the Bashford Manor and was pretty impressive. Plus when you see Circular Quay in the line then you will bet it. Got 2-1 but everyone had it. Apparently Angara killed a bunch of people in the contest last as she was the horse to play but Sand Springs took the field wire to wire. With no speed this year everyone jumped on Angara as well. We got 7/2 on her. The only other Saratoga race I played was the 1st and nailed that one. My biggest hit f the day was Monmouth race 4. Fast Act an offspring of Theatrical was 2nd time on turf and the odds were 29-1. Unfortunately, the Monmouth was not a contest track. But I went to watch the race replay and Fast Act had a HORRIBLE trip. I could not believe a Theatrical horse was getting off at 29-1. The race had plenty of speed and the 10 flew by them with ease and won. Oh, I had $50 and $50 on Fast Act.
