I'm liking Golden Spikes more and more as I keep looking at this race. . . Wolfson's a great trainer with a positive ROI for virtually every angle and this horse is very well bred. . . His 2nd dam is Shared Interest - G1 winner of $667K and dam of Forestry and Cash Run who won the 1999 BC Juv. Fillies. She's also by Seeking the Gold who sired Golden Spikes. Add the A.P. Indy influence through the dam-sire and this horse should run all day. I can't wait to see him stretch out further - that actually leads to my only concern for the Hutch - that he might need more than 7F to show his best. He certainly won't hate the distance, though, and he should sit a nice stalking trip. . .
