Yikes. Feel sorry for his mom.
his mom knows better than to be on the field during a play and pick up a live ball. had that cost texas his mom woulda kicked his ass for being stupid!

pretty good game. to bad the horns didn't play like that all year.

I thought ARizona St. was unusually slow. Our defense just crumbled their O-line. Our defensive secondary was bad per usual. Colt McCoy is fairly fast, but he is no Vince Young. The AZ St. defense was God awful slow.

Or Az. St. was totally unprepared. They made us look much better than we are. Starting to wonder about this USC, Illinois game.

Mussberger and next year:

Next season is looking very good for my Longhorns. Lots of sophomore LBs and linemen who actually had good games. We will see what happens with the secondary.

Jamaal Charles is absolute lightning at RB. Won the Big 12 sprint as a freshman and he is now football fast. Just not powerful. Does not frequently break tackles like Mussberger would have one believe.

Who the hell preps Mussberger, guy is pitiful at characterizing players. He must rely totally on the team's press releases. They need to watch their own tape. Maybe actually prepare.

jamaal charles is NICE! the play he turned that short corner and down the sideline for 45 yds was a Great run! looks like a bigger, quicker cutting willie parker.

mussberger has been Terrible for a number of years now. i'll not start this rant!

coach.

you got two kids from San Antonio
on your Bama roster. 4 total from Texas
I believe.

Nick Fanuzzi- watched him play (for the last 3 seasons, he started as a 10th grader I believe)
at Churchill High School, not far
from where we live. And a kid from
Smithson Valley (a playoff team almost
every year in 5A)

Probably not recruited by Sabin, but
interesting. I imagine how well you guys
recruit in Georgia and against Auburn within
the state is big... No? Not many kids from Tennessee
or Louisiana...? A few from Florida.

Texas has one kid from Alabama. Fireplug DLineman.

fanuzzi is fr.qb and get redshirt for this season. i've his seen highlights, he can Sling it!
greg mcelroy, carroll hs., southlake, tx. redshirt fr.--only started at qb his sr year in hs and won state title. we Really thought he'd play some this year. Saban already stated ALL jobs are open come spring.
t. farmer from houston, fr db. as far as i know didn't play any thing year, unless it was special teams.
e. anders-from smithson valley hs, san antonio, so. lb. i think he played some special teams this year.
mcelroy and anders came in under shula. fanuzzi and farmer came to play for saban. fanuzzi is one of the guys that cause a pretty big storm. he verbally committed someplace else, visited Bama with saban and was ready to sign right away.

the kids TX has from Alabama are from the Mobile area? would be my guess. shula gave away that area to TX, Lsu and the barn. saban's second full day on the job, he hopped the plane to Mobile and spent 3 days down there repairing damage left by shula. Lsu has KILLED Bama with Mobile players the last few years.

right now the Bama roster has To many kids from fla and ga. saban should win the state back this year or next for sure. then he can cherry pick tn, fla, ga, ms and la, occasionally the rest of the country. they are already cherry picking ms. pretty well. the ut fans are Really after fat-phil. saban has verbals from the top 2 players in tn.
the Alabama roster being big majority of in state kids has always been the key. they understand "it" and teach or lead the out of state kids. thats NOT happening right now.

Makes sense.
Thought Georgia might be fruitful.

We know Saban can recruit.

Strangely enough Mack Brown does his "cherry picking" in California.

Side note: Jamaal Charles has not said if he will return or enter the pros...
There is no flippin way this kid is close to ready for the NFL. He will get thrown around like a rag doll. We even take him out when blocking is required. You think Texas would leave him in for a draw or possible screen threat since the kid can score from anywhere on the field, but his blocking is so bad they sit him.

As looked liked they didn't want to be there. their o-line play was poor at best. 55 sacks during the season and another 6? last night?
asu d-line didn't play a bad game, they were able to collapse the pocket on colt and make him uncomfortable.

It was a typical Scum Devil choke job. Screw you Dennis Erickson. Bring back Frank Kush.

That was the safest Colt has been all year long.
That poor kid just got his butt kicked all
season.
Next year looks to be much better for him.
I think he has a chance of living.
