Hopefully in a real race but more likely they are waiting for Sunland to card a N14X Allowance for New Mexico breds for her to get another cheap win.

That's a totally cheap shot. Joe Allen was going to retire her after LAST year, but gave Joel Marr a chance to keep winning with her. He was ready to retire and breed her next year as well but will keep racing her with the streak intact. She's a New Mexico bred and Allen and Marr would be silly running her anywhere else right now. She's beating "similar" and is simply better than anything she's ever faced. Winning 14 races in a row against any company is an accomplishment of no small note.

Her next start is March 23, a defense of her '07 win in the $100,000 Sydney Valenti, a 1 mile handicap for 3+ F&M's at Sunland. And her win the other day was typical of her... She does whatever she is asked to do to finish in front. There's nothing cheap about her beating horses giving away 8-15 pounds.

What she's done is admirable but there is no way this streak should be treated as a monumental accomplishment until she takes on open company in graded stakes. She may be good enough to do so but until then this streak is overrated in my opinion. Seeing Lebron James dominate a bunch of middle school girls wouldn't do much for me either, even with 15 pounds strapped to his back.

So I guess we should back Citation's 3 minor allowance wins during his streak out? And Mister Friskey's and Hallowed Dreams' wins were meaningless too because they came in Puerto Rico and LA?

The Lebron James analogy is a bad one. It's not as if Pepper's Pride were some kind of Kentucky bred that was dropped in New Mexico (ala Funny Cide being a NY bred) and was beating up on a bunch of inferior Lobos. She's a New Mexico bred facing similar. And dominating.

If this was a NY-bred or a Cal-bred winning 14 in a row, you wouldn't be taking this stance.

It would only be slightly better if it was a NY bred or Cal bred but I'd still feel the same way if the horse never raced in open company and was suddenly being mentioned in the same company as Citation and Cigar. Give her a chance to show what she's made of in open company. We all know she's head and shoulders above the NM breds, let's see how good she really is. That's all I'm asking.

Come on, you know that isn't what Sniper is suggesting at all.
Nobody is saying that races like that shouldn't count. But in addition to those wins, Citation won the biggest races in the sport. Pepper's Pride has no "in addition."
I'm not saying she needs to win a bunch of G1s to validate the streak, but it would be nice to see her actually compete against somebody that could actually run at some point in her career.
