![]() This is why the Americans have trouble in these big international tourneys. American basketball is either a 3 or a dunk. No movement, no pick and rolls etc. While the rest of the world is passing all over the place, taking high percentage shots and playing strong defense, the U.S. is either slammng or chucking. The kids today should stop watching today's NBA and get some tape of 80's basketball, then maybe they would learn a thing or two.

![]() Two things,
As a Knick fan growing up, I hated the Celtics. Especially Larry Bird! I used to wish bad things on him. Now after trying to watch an NBA game the other night, I yern to see Larry Bird play again. I was a stupid kid, I didn't realize how awesome that guy was. He did it all. He played the game it way it was meant to be played. Now a days, it is about your tatoo's and if your house is big enough to be on MTV Cribs. The second thing, with the way I relate the U.S. palying against the rest of the world. I would assume that most of us here have played in some sort of basketball league when we were younger. There was always a team in the league of older, overweight, balding guys and your first impression of them was that "you were going to run them out of the f'n gym". Guess again, the fat guys always made the extra pass, took the high percentage shot and made all their free throws. The next thing you knew you were trying to figure out how you lost by 18. It seems latley that's what happens to the US. They are just not a good fundamental team. |
