I guess it was the only thing worse than playing in Minn. with a historically bad defense every year - a crappy running game once Robert Smith retired - and having the misfortune of having the most overrated football player in sports history (Duante Culpepper) as their QB.

Did anyone who watched the Vikings in the late 90's and earlier this decade not think that Jeff George and Gus Ferrotte were both MUCH better QBs than Duante ever was? The decrepit Randall Cunningham was like Dan Marino in his prime compared to Duante.
No. Frerotte had one good year with Miami and they passed on resigning him in favor of AJ Feeley and Jay Fiddler. No, he's not good. The one year he actually played for Minnesota, he threw 5 or 6 TD passed.

No. Jeff George was not better than Culpepper. George had a few good years but if you lined up his best 5 years vs Culpeppers, it's not even close, even leaving out the 2,000+ yards rushing to George's near none.

ButI always liked watching Jeff George play.

For the Colts fans.....
(Chorus)
Bye Bye Jeff
Bye Bye Horse's a$$
Hello Colts success
We're glad you said goodbye-i
we don't have to hear you cry-i

You're such a baby
You always whine
You're on vacation
Come playoff time

And here's the reason
That we're so glad
You're in Atlanta
Now they will be bad

(Chorus)

Through Interceptions
The fans will cuss
Now when we play you
You'll throw to us

Like Jerry Glanville
You'll soon need work
The Colts won't miss you
You Falcon jerk.

(Chorus)

Ok so its out of date.

Default More Classic Bob and Tom on Jeff George

Georgia,
Jeff's in Georgia
We don't have to hear you whine
You're a Falcon now
We've got women
On our minds

Georgia,
Jeff's in Georgia
You think the state is named for you
They've got a Southern draw
But you understand Jeff,
When they boo

Playing ball,
Always was your dream
You said the fans
They treated you mean
You said you're the best
That we ever seen
But you threw, to
The wrong team

Yea Georgia
Oh Jeff's in Georgia
He'll be calling his own plays
So I bet you next season
Their punter
Will want a raise.

Class move by Williamson after classless earlier move by Vikings. Should relatives die during team's bye week only?

Family is more important than football -- because after football, you still have family. Football uses player's best years and then discards them. Only boxing leaves as much carnage as football in its former competitors.

I will give them credit for admitting their mistake and doing the right thing. I take back the negative karma I sent to them.

When Daunte got hurt, he started two games and threw for 7 TD's. Both in winning efforts. He looked brilliant.

George played part of one season for the Vikes - made the Pro Bowl - and was second only to Kurt Warner in adjusted yards per pass.

Another guy who played great for the Vikes and didn't get a chance was Tood Bouman. He came in against the Steelers defense and went 11-for-15 had exactly 200 passing yards and 2 TD's vs 1 INT. The next week, he went 21-for-31 for 348 yards and 4 TD's and was named the NFL offensive player of the week. And back to the bench he went.

Randall Cunningham in '98 was the NFL MVP and threw more TD passes that season than he did in his previous five years in the league combined.

Not saying the Culpepper's numbers in Minny are less than Frerottes, Georges, Boumans, or Cunningham's .... but none of those guys got hyped to the moon. And unlike those guys, DC had an annoying knack of making big mistakes at key points in games. Moss moved all of those guys up.

Brady's numbers have obviously hiked this year - through nine games his completion percentage is 73.2% (9.5% higher than his previous best) his 33 TD passes through just nine games are 5 TD's higher than his previous career top of 28 in a 16 week season.

Stallworth has never had a 1K yard season in six years in the leauge and Welker had only 1 career TD catch coming into this year. But both are young guys - and are probably more talented than any recievers Brady has had except for Deion Branch and Troy Brown. But still, Brady is looking like another Moss moveup.

This little sun of a gun is quick as lightning.
Everyone is saying he is benefitting from Moss
but he is a return man also. He has extraordinarily
quick feet. He is not the type of guy that is a track
star, he can just get himself in the open in a millisecond.

I give credit to Bcheck for using him properly.
