I've been on the air at TVG when there have been spills. I know that their policy is to inform the viewers about the condition of both the horse and jockey as soon as possible. A call is always made immediately to the track where the incident occured. That is where sometimes the process slows as it's often difficult to get the right people you trust to be willing to disseminate information that is confirmed as accurate. Meanwhile the producers and talent have to continue presenting a live broadcast. People at TVG are just like the rest of us. Fans of the game with great care for the horses and jockeys at all times.
