It's so bizarre how popular the Cup is, even here in NZ. I just can't understand why 20,000 people here in Auckland go to Ellerslie and watch a 2-mile handicap in another country on the big screen. On a Tuesday!

I'll always believe that the Cox Plate is Australia's greatest race.
