I played in a sandbaggers (2-man scramble) tournament one time where I was paired up with a guy who had the second worst score of the opening round. He asked what was the distance from the green. I answered "145, 148." He replied "Well which it?" To my reply, "You shot what in the opening round? and your questioning me, like it matters?"

I would hope he was joking, doing a take-off on the Hogan story, which has been around for a while. If he was serious, then this guy illustrates why it takes so long to play a round of golf these days.
