I'm guessing you weren't a Stl. Ram? Still say he quit on the Rams. He wanted to have a career with another team and that was obvious. If he's making up the injury story to sell his book or if the story is true - It isn't a good thing. I just know what I saw. It's something I won't forget. Like Kevin Carter taking plays off. Good luck Ae

![]() I wonder how it will affect business at his new restaurant virtually next door to Heinz field?
Odd that he also wrote that the Steelers were never sold on Kordell Stewart. I remember it that they gave him more chances than Rooney's own son would have gotten ![]() http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pitt.../s_523538.html |

You are right about Stewert, he did not have the accuracy to be an above average QB. He was given a fair shot, but let me add the Steeler WR's during this time period were not very good. I think his restaurant will do very well. Saying he duped the Steelers to save his job will not be that much of negative because he had a few more good years. If he would have played poorly 2000-2005 that might be a different story. The Super Bowl also helped. |

I beleive they Rams wanted to make him a fullback with a lot of blocking duties. He wasn't a particular good blocker then or with the Steelers, part of the reason that he never really played in passing situations. The Rams didn't utilize him correctly after his rookie year, which lead to the trade . He may not have been a great team player with the Rams, but there position switch after a very good rookie year was part of the problem. |
