Not visually impressive, but the best in this race.

Calvin was playing it up when he finished. Precious. And into the winner's circle too. Gotta say I enjoy the horse but because of the trainer and jockey I enjoy Street Sense even more.

Why was the lead up in the coverage saying SS won't likely meet Curlin til the Classic? Is that just making assumptions from the past that big contenders normally avoid each other? As far as I know they'll meet in the Travers.

Asmussen has said that it's unlikely he'd run back in the Travers and if he does run his horse between the Haskell and BC, he thinks it could be in the JCGC.

Cal wasnt the only one playin' it up in the winners circle. Street Sense was hamiming it up for the cameras, too. T'was funny.

Heh he just gave a shout out to friends and said 'hi mom'. Love it.

Hmm so about Curlin thinking about skipping the Travers. Is it fair or unfair to feel the urge to make chicken clucking noises right now? For awhile there it was temporarily waved under our noses post-Belmont that we could possibly see SS, Curlin, and Rags in the Travers with the entrance of Rags in the Belmont happening largely after SS pulled out to begin with. It wasn't unthinkable she would pass on the Travers before the fever went down. Now it's possible of the 3, we end up with just Street Sense for sure standing in the probables for the race. Appears that the horse everyone's avoiding is SS. Sure JCGC is a big race and you can't blame them for going for it but this is the Travers for pete's sake. I'm just noting who appears to be blinking.
