does anyone know does this works?

did they install a finish line camera on the backstretch for the race? how are they going to determine the winner if it's a head bob?

given that you can bet on a race within a race doesn't that raise questions about which race a horse was entered for? what instructions is the trainer giving the jockey? which finish line are they aiming for? if a connection can make money betting on a horse to run in a fashion that compromises their chances of winning the (1 mile) race why wouldn't they do that?

i'm not sure i want to bet on a race with multiple finish lines.

Is there a purse offered for the first horse to cross the halfway point? I get the gist of it, most of the time it is easy to predict the frontrunners early in the race, but is this bet legit?

The CRC website shows the purse for the 5th race as $1.00. So I am assuming no purse on that race

there is win and exacta betting only in that "race"
