no doubt absolutely something just wasn't right there. but you have to wonder how many of his demons were brought on by his own actions--if the steroid talk is true... at any rate, certainly not the actions of a normal person by any means.

Yeah have some class. We're talking about a professional rassler!! LOL.

We should all strive to have enough class to one day equal the amount of class that is in Vince McMahon's pinkie toe.

i'm certainly no fan of rass..er, wrestling. the class i suppose tho comes in that there are some innocent victims who were killed by what was supposed to be their favorite person in the world. may not have gotten so much press if he drove for fedex, but they don't deserve anything more or less based on his profession.

Whatever his profession was, this is a sad story. Cases like this typically make the news regardless.

What's sad to me is that people still are paying to see these guys perform after all of the deaths and accusations of rampant abuse of steroids and the supposed encouragement by the people in charge.

What's sad is that wrestling will probably grow stronger from this tragedy. A huge, dysfunctional family bonding together in a time of crisis.

The non-racing public doesn't have the rosiest views of horseracing either...

Did one of Asmussen's horsies kill a mare and her foal and then himself? If not, I fail to see your point.

I was referring to your steroid comment and encouragement by people in charge.

There is a HUGE oversight on the point here.......Its not whether he is a wrestler on roids, a CEO on cocaine or a ditch dgger who drinks a 12 pack a day......the fact of the matter is that an innnocent wife and son were taken by the one person in the world who is supposed to protect, love and care for them no matter what. There was obviously something extremely wrong and unfortunately innocent people got caught in the middle......Mental illness does not discriminate against occupation and nationality!!

And it's not just professional wrestlers who kill their wives and children. I can understand you don't like wrestling...I feel the same about NASCAR, but I don't view the entire industry as classless.

I really don't know if he was mentally ill. All I heard what was just on the news, that he asphixiated (sp) his wife and son, then hanged himself in the basement. My guess is that he must have been very disturbed mentally to do this. I feel badly for his wife and son, and wish he had gotten help.
Seems that there are lots of stories lately about fathers killing their wives and children in the news. Tragic stuff!

Agreed...

My sister feels that way in fact. She finds horseracing cruel.

So this makes the fact that he took the life of his wife and child a non issue or no big deal?? what do all of these folks listed have to do with this situation, besides that they shared the same profession?

I would think mental illness most definitely does 'discriminate' against occupation.
