i think he doubled his price when sold as a two-year old so he must have improved some...also in his yearling pic he just doesn't look well prepared...coat has no bloom and he's got hay belly...who consigned him?
nevermind I just looked it up myself...

Smarty isn't a good looking horse either IMO. I wouldn't pay 100 grand to breed to him, that's for sure. (Small eyes and crooked to boot.) This colt might look better now...

best line I heard about smarty was when a friend of mine went to see him @ three chimney's and she said she wouldn't send a mare to him because it 'looked like both his front legs came out of the same hole'

I'm not going to lie. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't pay that kind of money to breed to a horse that looks like that. Bad idea to pass on those kind of genetics. JMO... (and I'm entitled to it. )

If you got a chance to take a close look at him you might change your opinion. It is hard to spend that type of money on any unproven stallion, but he has the dirt and the turf breeding.

I'm aware of his bloodlines, but I feel the way I do strictly because of his conformation faults. I feel exactly the same way towards Storm Cat. I am more impressed with straight legged, sound horses. Let's see how his babies turn out. That will be the real indicator.

Smarty Jones? His foals are genetically inclined to be massively overrated.
