Being down here in Arizona, it is amazing how they do the 'zero-scaping', where they just make their desert vegetation look a little prettier. You would love it, though, because there isn't a great deal of work involved once you do it right...

Oh, we have a winter here, too. I remember getting up in January this past winter, and listening to the radio while I was in the shower. They were naming all of the schools and bridges that were closed throughout the area. I was thinking that it must have been an actual storm, and I did see a little snow "falling" the previous night.

Then, I heard the radio crew state that there were accumulations of "up to a half an inch". I could not believe they would even say that. How do you honestly measure "half an inch" of accumulation?

Moving here from Ohio and Pennsylvania, it was a bit of a change, but growing up in West Texas, the summer hasn't been too bad, so far...
