I used to go meet by meet as a bit picture. Start out with a certain amount, and then see where I end up. I kept track as I went along so I could alter, adapt, improvise, etc. It didn't really matter much because without the "fear" of going to zero you can play more aggressively -- it changes the dynamic . . . but then again, I have too much respect for money, LOL.

I am probably a better "gambler" than I am handicapper. Thankfully my partner is the opposite. A merger of compliments to say the least, LOL.

For IRS purposes, I save my tickets and staple them to the program, race by race. IRS will accept this, but not tickets randomly collected.

Again, you DO NOT need to save your tickets for the IRS. It's not that hard. The IRS doesn't care if you win or lose, they just want to be sure they get what they are supposed to.
