If this thread had been titled "who ALMOST cashed big today", then I would have much to write Three out of 4 on every pick 4, 2 out of 3 on every pick 3.. thousands of dollars slipped through my fingers.

Had an okay day, hit the 1st pik4, busted on the 1st leg of the pik 6, in the Woodford had 1, 7, 4 in the positions of the trifecta, hard beat there. We hit the pik4 up to the Derby, we played some combos and were busted out on all except one up to the Derby, we had SS singled and I wasn't confident having to rely on a single in the Derby, but it worked out. We have to thank Steve Crist for this, his exotic betting book has made a huge difference in our handicapping. Ranking the horses A, B, C, and X is huge, then we rank the races A, B,C and X and play accordingly.

Lost all my tri bets, just about broke even with an exacta saver bet. Ironically, I came up with a small, last-minute bet (a $1 tri wheel for $18 total) for a family member and placed it at his request, and did not make a similar bet for myself. It hit for $220.

I hit a 10 dollar tri at Belmont that paid 5000 after I gave my girlfriend the 680girlfriend tax. Distant View was the broodmare sire and the horse had never turfed, plus he carried all the pace. Put the 7 and 10 in second, and 5 horses in third. It ran 5 10 3.

Had 200 to win on James Graham at Arlington on a Biancone piece he absolutely butchered to lose by a neck at double digit odds. The ride was almost a TV jerker. Thats when I tear the TV off the front off wherever Im sitting.

Had 400 to win on the horse 7 Andy liked in NY, Rajiv fell off about hundred yards from the wire. Couldnt show any emotion because the girlfriend was there again. I had to take a walk and get some water.

I had a real big bet Derby Eve on Uncle Walter at Mountaineer and Rex Stokes should be in jail for the ride he gave me.

All in all Im up about 4k on the weekend, but it could have been a very solid weekend without the bad luck.

Well, I just found out that for every $10 put into the PICK 6 Players Pool it returned $82 - so, I actually made some money this weekend.

Ive never really liked Rajiv and hes given me a number of poor rides. While watching the replay 2 or 3 times I was hoping he didnt get trampled, but that one of the trailers would step on his ankle. Just break his ankle, dont hurt him seriously. The horse did duck, but Ive seen guys stay on much worse.

Default not bad

I had 100WPS on Hard Spun, $2 and $5 exacta, and $1 tri. Cashed $1400+ in Derby. I did not have Sky Conqueror in the PK3 and PK4, that's what cost me the most. A great race and a good day at the cyber-windows.

Oh Hoss, you are talking about the Graham ride. Pathetic, no other word for it. He broke in the horses mouth, snatched him up, lost 4, swings out 7 wide in an 8 horse field and gets beat a nose.

It was a little before Derby. I just remember taking a deep breath and going for a walk. Very ugly ride

We needed to get together... I had $57 Brickell, but lost the late pick 4 when Bravo couldn't get his nose up with the Confidenceman That really Sucked!

hit a $183 ex in the 3rd at Tampa on Sat. (9-1 on top of a 19-1). Hit a $3 pick three (2x1x1) at Tampa as well that returned me $140 (great value for on $6 invested). Hit a straight $10 ex in the Nassau County at Belmont. I thought Lady Marlboro was easy 2nd best and the $16+ it returned for $2 was the only way to make money with a 1/4 favorite.

Overall though...lost $88 on the day.
