I just used my IPod to handtime it -- and timed it several times. From the 4.5 furlong pole right after the start to the finish -- I couldn't get a timing that would justify her running in under 49.

Not being an expert in hand-timing races, take that for what it's worth -- but Even when I jumped the gun slightly on the finish one time I clocked it, it still came in over the stated time.

I'd be interested in seeing what other people hand-timing it came up with.

I got closer to 50 seconds every time I did it.
