Ohh, that pub got quiet awfully fast this evening...I don't think anyone figured out that there were three of us in a corner silently cheering until we started sneaking out -- apparently, we weren't bereaved enough. Heartbreaker for the English -- lots of people crying in the pub, lots of very drunk people stumbling around silently on the streets.
Bring on the next round!

I would concur with that statement Scuds
Brazil seemed to lack the passion & energy which make them great and fun to watch not just in this match, but all tournament as a huge fan, I'm disappointed in the result & the effort but they were simply outplayed by the inspired French however... I won't cry about it like Beckham I've lost all respect for him now I don't mind if he cried when they lost but he cried when it was tied with almost 30 minutes left in the match! why act defeated when you have not been? especially when you are supposed to be one of the team's leaders Portugal can thank him and the stupidity of Wayne Rooney plus an awesome winner from Cristiano for the win...hope they take it all!

... four teams ... 210 minutes of "action" ... ... and exactly one goal scored. The game is boooooorrrrriiiinnnnnggggg !!! If every baseball game went 18 innings to a 0-0 tie ... and had to be decided by a tee-ball home run contest ... that'd be real boring too.

the Italian goal keeper is awesome
he's the best I've ever seen other than Patrick Waugh (Roy) the precision on that goal was something to behold sorry pg but I'm rooting for Portugal 2day they get Deco back, and France just won it in '98
