Too many other good jocks were in the race and Ramon had a panic attack.

Tough beat, hooves.

I'm glad I turned chicken and just bet a tri. Adore The Gold looked like a true Laurel horse today. Why they worked her so hard after the FOY is beyond me.
All I know is that i'm sick of Pletcher winning everything in sight.

Highly unlikely he makes the derby due to Graded Earnings, unless trainer/owner plan out a suicide race schedule which has him racing 1-2 more times before the first saturday in may.

but i could be wrong

he cost me big too, I had a $30 p3 ending on him.
i couldn't believe when he got pinched, but thats what happens sometimes when you try that move, you're a hero or a goat.

I think he may have won with a clear trip, but not by that much.

to me he is definitely the best horse in the race, including Scat Daddy, Stormello, Notional, Adore the Gold, you can have all of them. I think they all will have no bearing on the derby.

I agree. The Florida derby preps have been coming back with slow numbers. I was glad the Scat Daddy won b/c he'll be overbet in the derby.

When I saw this horse break close and in the stalking mood into the far turn,I said this horse is for real.It appears that this horse luvs to go long.Sure would like to see him in the derby. But,how much juice can you squeeze from the horse. One of my biggest play this year,I feel like someone set me on fire.

There was nothing wrong with Dominguez' ride on Chelokee. If he had had a burst when the rail opened right at the top of the turn, he could have gotten through. He DIDN'T... I thought the winner was "the best" in the race by any interpretation.

I still like Notional a great deal, even after today -- but I'm THRILLED that Scat Daddy won because he'll take a good deal of money in the Derby and he's going right out of my exotic wagers the second I open my form.

He'll be over 10-1 in the Derby...Some money, not a ton of money.

Well, how many horses aren't over 10-1 in the Derby? I didn't say a "ton" of money, but a good deal off of winning two route races leading into the Derby.

Let's just say that he'll take X dollars more in the Derby than he should, where X equals "number of dollars above zero bet on him."

after watching the replay, I dont think chelokee would have won if the rail was open, I think he would have been closer, most likely 2nd, but he didnt check hard at all and he had a ground saving trip and couldnt make it through on the rail on the turn. it seemed to take him a little while to make his "kick".

but, with that said I think that he is the best horse in that group of horses. maybe not today but I also think he will be by far the best horse out of this group at 1 1/4. too bad he probably wont get in
