![]() Another addittion. (And a good one).
TIZA GETS WORLD CUP DAY INVITE Herman Brown trained Tiza (owned by the Bayern Syndicate and James Atkinson) has cracked an invite to the 1200m Dubai Golden Shaheen on World Cup night. The star South African sprinter has already placed twice in Dubai this season and tries the dirt surface at Nad Al Sheba for the first time. Tiza has won on the dirt in South African and the stable doesn't think that the surface will be an issue. "To get a chance to race for that type of stake is rare, we will take this opportunity with both hands," said Trainer Brown. Tiza has shown some explosive work at home in Dubai over the past three months, but has run below his work in races, most especially in his first start when the stable was confident of a win. There is a possibility that the surface change could bring the best out in the talented sprinter. Tiza's invitation makes him the third World Cup runner for the Brown stable in only their second full international season - an impressive feat by any standard. Brown reports that Sheema Classic hopeful, Sushisan is working extremely well and his Sunday morning gallop was impressive. With only days to go, it will an important week for the connections with runners in the big race. Contenders for the G1 Dubai Golden Shaheen, Seeking the Best (Ire) (Seeking the Gold) and Agnes Jedi (Jpn) (Agnes World), worked in company, getting 600 meters in :35. Their trainer, Hideyuki Mori, said, ASeeking the Best would have the best chance out of the two, but Agnes Jedi will be a much better horse than what you saw last time he ran (Mar. 1 at Nad al Sheba) as he had just arrived and was not in the best condition.@ The five-year-old ran fifth in the G3 Al Shimaal over track and trip, beaten four lengths by Terrific Challenge...Bartola (Arg) (Roy), one of two fillies entered in the G2 UAE Derby, covered 600 meters in :41, travelling on the bit throughout.
