He's very unlikely to be falling completely out of most top 10 lists...if for no other reason than for the fact that this crop looks very uninspiring right now.

I think the people who badmouthed Scat Daddy for his performance last time out....did so because they felt he had the tactical edge of racing over what was widely being called a "very live rail" last time out.

I personally wasn't convinced that the inside was that much better on that day, however, Nobiz clearly looked like a very authentic winner that day, and simply looked like the better of the two.

Also, another reason why the horse was so bad-mouthed, was that in years past, serious Pletcher 3-year-olds would often fire big races off the layoff..and rarely improved a great deal. The way Scat Daddy and Sam P. improved markedly today, I'm not so sure Pletcher isn't tinkering around, in an effort to get more development out of his Derby prospects. After seeing the way Scat Daddy and Sam P. ran today, it becomes a little easier to expect similar improvement from Any Given Saturday, in his 2nd start of his form cycle, on the march to the triple crown series.
