![]() ![]() HOME » Lead Story » Apache Cat Half Sister At Inglis back to stallions home Apache Cat Half Sister At Inglis Submited On: 2/28/2007 Posted On: 2/28/2007 Author: Mike Hedge A pair of black type victories by Apache Cat at Caulfield in the past month have focused the spotlight on his yearling half sister who will go under the hammer at next week’s Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne The Super VOBIS qualified filly offered by Lynden Park Stud is a half sister to four other winners, but Apache Cat is clearly the star. Apache Cat She is also the first foal from the mare Tennessee Blaze to be sold at public auction. The filly is a daughter of Lynden Park's Danzig stallion Golden Snake, a four-time Group One winner who has made an encouraging start to his stud career in both hemispheres siring the Austrian Group One winner Cuba Candy and the local black type performer Antidotes from his first crops. The Premier Sale also features a wide selection of yearlings by sire-of-the-moment Flying Spur. The Arrowfield-based stallion has 16 yearlings on offer including a colt from the Sadler’s Wells mare Bineyah who is from the family of Seattle Dancer, Seattle Slew and the English classic winner Lomond. Flying Spur also has a colt on offer out of Spring Beauty whose dam Beach Gown produced Rose Of Danehill; a filly from the family of New Zealand Horse of the Year Xcellent and a colt from Love A Party who is a three-quarter sister to Let’s Elope. The wins of Sleek Chassis in the Blue Diamond and Shaft in the Silver Slipper last weekend propelled Flying Spur to the head of the Australian Two-Year-Old Sires’ Table. Flying Spur is also a close second to his close relation Encosta de Lago on the Leading Sires’ Table. |

![]() Sorry for going off topic but wanted to ask you two if there's late news.....
Poor thing..... http://www.virtualformguide.com/cgi-...nehilllame.txt Danehill Smile Lame After Trial Drama Please be advised that Golden Slipper aspirant Danehill Smile was pulled up by her rider in a Randwick barrier trial this morning. Danehill Smile went a short distance after jumping out of the barriers in Heat 11, whereby her jockey elected to pull her up. Racing NSW Vets inspected the filly soon afterwards and found her to be acutely lame in the off-hind leg. Danehill Smile has since been sent to the Randwick Equine Centre. Trainer Anthony Cummings has undertaken to inform RNSW Stewards of the results of a full examination of the two-year-old. Racing NSW Media Release Published 06/03/07 |

Racing NSW have this afternoon relayed that Mr Anthony Cummings, trainer of Golden Slipper favourite Danehill Smile, has reported the filly, after being examined at Randwick Equine Centre today, has returned to normal in its action after exhibiting signs of 'tying up' as evidenced by a high muscle enzyme level in a blood count.Mr Cummings said Danehill Smile will continue its current campaign and the filly will be inspected by RNSW Stewards and Senior Official Veterinarian, Dr Craig Suann, on Thursday, 8th March. Will let you know if i find anything prob will end up in the breeding barn sounds very much like a bowed tendon. Last edited by magic_idol : 03-06-2007 at 06:21 PM. |
