Getting married to someone who didn't love me was the mistake. I wish I was the type of person that could have just sat back and been a glutton for punishment, but I couldn't handle it. I figured if he was going to be out until 3AM every morning drunk and cheating on me, I might as well be a single mom. He's remarried now to a girl who doesn't put up with ANYTHING. She doesn't let him go out at all with his friends and she checks his voice mail, etc. That's not my cup of tea, but that was the kind of girl he needed to be married to.

I am a firm believer in what comes around goes around. Gotta admit, that is no kinda life that guy has now. Feels kinda good doesn't it? Got an ex (boyfriend THANK GOD WE NEVER MARRIED) that is the same way. Cheated on me left and right. Left him when I had proof. He got engaged about six months after we split. I got married about three years later. He still isn't married and very unhappy. Hee hee. Do unto others as you'd have done to you is a nice motto to live by.

By the way my hubby is only five years older than me. But we are older than you so his maturity set in before I met him nine years ago.
