I don't think that Rockport Harbor is homely at all unless you are referring to his color. He's much better conformed than most TBs. He has a very attractive head and shoulder on him. His hip isn't perfect but it is better than most horses. He's got a nice rounder type back on him, a good column of bone, and clean legs. His neck is nice other than he could be a little bit clearner in the throatlatch area. I don't like the fact that his front hooves don't match in shape and size though. The one one the near side should look more like the one on the off side. It could be why they had so many problems with him. Overall, he's actually a much more attractive horse in the conformation department than his sire other than those front hooves.

I couldn't believe the price either. I don't know that much about breeding, but even I know that he probably should have started for less. He was a very useful and popular horse on the track though.

Larry Jones said this evening on ATRAB that there will be no definite decision as to whether Hard Spun will go the Louisiana or Arkansas prep route until next week.
