You know how they have those trivia games at bars and you are able to change your answer for lesser points during the game for each question. They should do that in racing. You have up until the final furlong to change your bet for lesser odds. So if the horse is 2-1 at post, and you decide to change your bet with 1 furlong to go, you now get 3/5 on the horse. Now that would be cool.

Wasn't there some website in Europe that allowed you to bet while the race was being run? I believe that was tied into the race fixing allegations.

You dont think this is already happening? Could definetely explain the way horses that often have big leads in the stretch go down in odds
