![]() What are the F**N rules??
They announce off on 9th and 10th but don't give any scratches so you can't make changes. Sometimes when off the turf you get ALL sometimes not. I get the weather has sucked this meet but getting really tired of NYRA just flat out stealing my money. This is a joke, really losing patience with this BS ![]() |

![]() That was tough. I got the racing office 'Off the turf' text at 4:34 and the 7th went at 4:37. Three 9th race SCR's and one 10th race SCR came in after the 7th had been run. Rule is that bets stand if announcement comes before sequence starts. There was time to cancel bets (assuming you were watching and in position to react immediately) but not enough time to consider how the wet track would affect the fields.

![]() Thanks for the breakdown but still feels real grimy to me.
So they give you a 2 minute warning to adjust any wagers and you don't know the scratches until after your bet is locked. Reminded of Vegas Vacation where Clark is playing guess the color and says White and the dealer says, Oh, so close, I was thinking of Off White! How about we save each other some time and I take you out back by the dumpster, take all your money and kick you in the nuts. There has to be a better way. And I've been betting horses for over 40 years so what's a casual fan have to think with these shadowy, garbage "rules"? |
