![]() i couldn't believe when i read how much time our reps spent up there these past few years.
it's ridiculous. absolutely ridiculous. what a waste. if we have as much legislation as we could need, if they have no work to do, what the heck do we still have them for?! it's no wonder everything is such a mess, no one up there gives a damn. they spend all their time working towards the next election. soon as they get voted in, it's time to start on getting in next time. i can understand the four day week next week due to the monday holiday, but for a lousy game?! i'm anxious for change--for the better. but so far, not so good. |

![]() oh, and one other thing.
seems that when i post something dems agree with on here, they don't pay much attention. but let me post something negative, and suddenly i'm one sided. i post something questioning bush, glossed over...but take a conservatives side, suddenly, again, one-sided. |

But I do agree with GR mostly on this one. The timing is bad for them to do that, especially so soon -- but after the past years when the people who we put in charge to advocate for us only had to work half as many days as their constituents (which i think is shitty), it's hard to get really riled up over them taking one day off, even if it's for something like a football game. Heck, they could take Tuesday off for a post-championship day of revelling....and if they came back Wednedsay their workweek would still be longer than a Republican-controlled workweek ![]() |
