I think it was a precautionary move by Trombetta. I don't think he runs the horse here if ANYTHING is wrong becuase he wants a shot at 1 million in the Classic coming up at the end of the month. Hopefully Steve can get ahold of him/ask him on ATRAB and get the downlow

Sweetnorthernsaint ran a terrific race today. He had a slightly tougher trip than the two horses that beat him, though not a bad one, and lost a reasonably close decision in a quickly run race to two solid horses. I am not sure how the front bandages play into the result. He ran as well as could have been expected...and likely better.

Nice race all around....may we have more of them this year.

I can assure you the front bandages were not on there for decorations.

I never said they were. I also never suggested, or believed, that he was completely sound. Which horses are? Geez, he ran for a tag in his second start. I still think he ran very well. Good horses run through their issues ( as I'm sure you well know ). Hopefully he will continue to run as well as he did today through his....whatever they are.

Default From Bloodhorse article....

"I would have loved to have won it, but it was a quickly run race," said Michel Trombetta, trainer of Sweetnorthernsaint. "We had a big chance at the top of the stretch but we’re on the comeback trail here, and I’m all right with this."

In Scav's terms, translation below

"I could care less about this race and I want my 60k that I get when SNS wins the Sunshine Millions. "
