Day 19

Best bet: Race 7- #3 With the Moonlight
Small but really strong field. I think this filly holds a distinct pace advantage here and am hoping for a Buick/Appleby sweep this weekend. Nations Pride ran a much improved race second time here and I'm hoping for the same here.

Longshot: Race 9- #2 Nazuna
Bit of a stab here, but I think she's improving for Chad Brown. Will be lost on the board and if she can take another step forward, is not that far off some of these. I think she will be in a good spot behind the speed and will get first run on the closers. Anytime you can get over 10-1 on Prat/Chad Brown, not a bad idea to take it.

With the Moonlight won, paying $4.30 and $2.30, Nazuna was a non threatening 7th.

Day 20

Best bet: Race 10- #7 Running Bee
Nice effort against big maiden breaker Capenesis, who didn't return to run very well here a few weeks back, but he didn't have the smoothest of trips. This one has been 2nd in both career starts, and really took a step forward last time. Seems to be working well and should be well placed.

Longshot: Race 7- #9 Montatham
Classic cutback here. I'm not really crazy about any of the horses coming out of the 7/14 sprint here and wanted tot take a shot with a horse who I think might be better sprinting. Should get first run on closers and the route races should have him plenty fit.

Running Bee won easily, paying $6.70 and $3.70. Montatham also won (at 9-1), but was DQ'd because the stewards are inept and overreacted because a horse who was stopping and was piloted by a moron clipped heels and fell. Yeah, still mad about it as it cost me about 5k.

Day 21

Best bet: Race 4- #1 Ghost Giant
Has apparently been working well since his last. I thought he ran well last time, while being blocked just as he was hitting stride. Should get plenty of pace to run at and I think he runs them down late.

Longshot: Race 10- #6 Aleste
I have no idea what she's actually going to go off at. She's 6-1 on the ML, so she might get bet, in which case "longshot" doesn't really apply. But I think there is a lot to like about this filly. Second dam won multiple stakes on grass. More importantly, I watched her hold her own while working with graded stake winner Rinaldi last month on grass. No world beaters here and the Bond barn has woken up after a tough Belmont. I think there might be some talent here.

Did Vic really delete his post in this thread?

That was quite a performance he put on this week bullying fellow announcer Craig Braddick (again.) Announcer brotherhood don't ya know.

Omar Moreno threw that race. He stopped on his horse was looking around and then half assed it...

Ghost Giant got a very good ride and just got up, paying $14.80 and $7.10. I really blew the last. Saratoga Chrome was my best bet on Day 3 of the meet and ran so bad. Back yesterday with Rosario and wins. Should have had that one.

Day 22

Don't like this card at all today.

Best bet- Race 8- #3 Tiergan
Just romped up here, fresh off the claim and should sit another good trip. Recency edge on Bankit and feels like the now horse.

Longshot: Race 10- #6 Classic Lynne
Good effort last time off the layoff. Made a winning move and got tired late. Like the jock switch, should be more fit this time and I'm hoping she gets lost on the board.
