Best bet: Race 5- #9 Baby Blythe
I flirted with putting a few horses in this spot but ultimately landed on a horse I have thought highly of since her debut. Post is no bargain with the run into the far turn, but I think Baby Blythe has shown hints of ability a few times in her career. Two back she needed one behind a crawling pace and won the match race last time, somehow as the 2nd choice. She exploded here last year to a big one, albeit over the widener and hopefully she gets a little pace to run at. I think 3rd off the layoff we see her best and I'm hoping she shows up with her "A" race because ultimately I think she's the best horse in here

Longshot: Race 8- #1 L'Imperator
Not a longshot per se, but I think this one will be the longest shot of the 5 in here. Tough to make much out of his race two back in the bog, but I thought his race last time was much better than it looked. Cancel yanked him off the lead as his uncoupled stablemate stole the race. He was putting in a run when he had to pause in traffic and was still coming. LOVE the rider switch to Manny who should be aggressive from the inside and I think he can win this on the lead or right off. Another rare price on a Chad horse
Baby Blythe was awful. Headstrong early and stopped in the lane. Bad pick. L'Imperator ran his race, just got weary late and finished 3rd.

Day 15
Best bet: Race 8- #2 Must Be Love
To me, this race has to fall apart with all of the speed signed up and I wanted to take the fresh face, for a barn having success this meet. Goes first out for Rudy's brother off the private purchase and hopefully can get up late

Longshot: Race 2- #5 Mike's Little Diva
Took money in debut in what has become the most live NYB maiden run this year. Broke well and was just behind the expensive Pletcher repeater when she retreated. She was 5-1 in the ML that day and Aragona is usually pretty on it. Not that it means anything. Ultimately I think the drop makes sense and maybe she breaks and takes them a long way

The 8th never fell apart as I hoped as the top 3 finishes basically ran 1-2-3 around the track. Must Be Love actually out in a nice run from last to get 4th and was the only one to make up any ground, but was non threatening. Mike's Little Diva was bad. Bad pick

Day 16

Best Bet: Race 7- #7 Alwayz Late
I flirted with putting the Klaravich firster in race 2 here, because I watched her work last week where she held her own against an older filly from Chad's barn, but ultimately chose against it. Alwayz Late had no shot last time behind a crawling pace and also got a less than enthusiastic ride by Jose Ortiz through the lane. Gets much more speed to run at, Moot barn won a couple yesterday and she should be up in time today.

Longshot: Race 6- #1 Who Me
He was off slow in his debut and then made a prolonged run around the turn to get within a few of the lead and tired after that. Adds lasix and more importantly stretches out. Should have gotten a lot out of the debut and Rosario ends up here instead of the Clement firster. Dam side is all turf and long on the turf. Dam was unraced but is a half to a few very nice turf runners and her dam was a 10 time turf winner and earned over 700k on grass going long. 10-1 ML more than fair

Who Me showed speed from the inside but tired badly. Not much there. Alwayz Late an unlucky loser, paying $5.40 to place

Day 17

Best bet: Race 5- #5 Rheaume
Just missed last time, I'm against the probable favorite Shad Nation who I don't think is very good. This one has been brought along nice and easy by Dickinson and showed last time she can go long. Figures to sit a nice trip tactically and I just feel she's better than these.

Longshot: Race 4- #7 Gandy Dancing
Loves this track, although that was in the Chad Brown barn. I think he fits here though and again, hard to ignore record at the track. Drawn well and should sit in catbird seat and connections ensure large price. Want to take a shot in this race and this one seems as logical as any

I think the bettors saw the same thing you were seeing on Gandy Dancing...nice pick

Apparently I wasn't the only one who saw some things to like in Gandy Dancing as he romped and was bet down to 7/2 from his 10-1 ML, paying $9.60 and $4.90. Rheaume ran well and lost the photo paying $3.80 to place
