I think it was Wanderin Boy maybe? That Pimlico Special was a short field. Maybe West Virginia? I can't remember.
Either way, whenever someone asks about a jock getting favored treatment, I can always point to the 06 Black Eyed Susan as exhibit A.

Definitely matters... years ago there was a horrendous DQ up at Saratoga involving Bailey and Chavez..
The horses barely brushed... Chavez taken down, Bailey + Mott put up... The stewards should have been shot.
