To some extent, Flightline is going to be up against it in his next start. He'll likely have to run in a stakes (because second condition allowance races rarely fill in CA, especially if a horse like him targets the race), he'll likely have to face older horses (because there's no 3yo stakes on dirt left in CA until maybe the BC undercard), he'll likely have to face quality speed for the first time, and he won't be running on Lasix. Maybe they can throw two turns and switch surfaces on him, too, if they really want an acid test. Of course, we're talking about CA racing, so he might find a nice Paid Public Workout and You're In race ahead of the BC...
