Cal, you're dead on about quarter horses at both Los Al and Remington.

With all of the cancellations, the Stakes Calendar at Bloodhorse is no longer reliable - it continues to list races from a number of tracks that were originally scheduled but have been cancelled.

Right. So the only stakes races are I think the Apple Blossom for F&M which is a route and I think The Count Fleet for the boys at 6 Furlongs.

These days the best racing in the country by far is in your neck of the woods. I just wish they weren't so incredibly difficult to figure out.

Stay well everyone as we await Ms. Ruffian's choice and hope no further tracks close.

My personal favorites are racing pigs and weiner dogs.

In other news, storms must have knocked out some of the electrical infrastructure in my neck of the woods. Thankfully, no deaths here in Arkansas I think, unless I missed it, but we were without power all day and it just came back on a few minutes ago. Talk about adding insult to injury, already in isolation and then no Netflix or TV or computer. Way too primitive for me. I had to resort to reading with one of those small book lights and the only thing I could find to read was Pride and Predjudice by Jane Austen. Not exactly for macho men and language was somewhat difficult to understand. It was somewhere between Shakepearean and modern day English.

No disrespect intended by me making light of my small inconvenience. I know that there are many that are endangering themselves now in the service of others.

Hmmm, we have played quarter horse races before but with some shagrin. I happen to like them.
