Yeah, a computer emergency. It's been doing self-shut downs lately and it doesn't always start back up in a timely fashion. I'm going to have to break down and buy a new one, I suppose. Ugh. Thanks for your patience.

I sympathize. About a week ago, couldn't get my computer to turn on. Push the start button and nothing happens. There is another button to the side of the start button. I didn't know what its purpose was. Turns out, it is another start button for a program that I think is called latitude. Computer comes on and a box asks whether I want to use latitude. I say no and box goes away and I use the computer like normal. Supposedly, latitude lets you go directly to some functions of your computer like internet and mail without having to go through the whole boot up process that usually takes awhile. Who knew? I am a computer idiot.
