Well maybe I've learned something after 40 or 50 years of playing this game, but I hesitate to say that for fear of jinxing myself and going 20 races or so without a score as I know I am capable of doing. Who knows? Maybe I'll have a decent year. I think I've already equaled my win record of last year, but that was pretty easy to do since I only had 3.

It's funny, I always fantasize about passing whatever racing knowledge I have on to my 16 and 18 year old grandsons, but they could care less. Not that they don't like going to the races, but they just don't have the patience required. I went to Oaklawn with them last year, after about a 10 year absence, and they were so impatient they were ready to go by the 4th race.
