Imperial Hint - WOW!! That was a breathtaking performance. That little guy buried a very strong field like they were all pulling plows behind him. I think that it was a new track record. Yes, Mitole and Strike Power came out quickly and went at it with one another, but I don't think that their duel lasted long enough to really determine the outcome. And a determined closer in Firenze Fire didn't take advantage of that duel. It was all I.H. with his running shoes on. Nobody was going to beat him today- nooooobody.

I left him out of my pick 4, saving slots for what I thought were "tougher" races. Could not have been more wrong.

You just don't see horses that run sub 1:08s for 6 furlongs. I was really impressed with him last year and thought he would run big in the BC, but didn't happen probably because of the difference in distance. I think size may not matter at shorter distances, but the further they go, it does. I think he had another sub 1:08 on his pps and that was at Parx about 10 races ago.
