![]() One of the questions/answers in tonight's episode of 'Jeopardy' was something like "Bob Baffert trained two Triple Crown winners in the last 4 years. American Pharoah and this horse."
Sadly, none of the 3 contestants could come up with Justify.

![]() I wonder if they would have come up with American Pharoah if the names were reversed.
In fact, I wonder if they would have even known what sport was being talked about had the answer not included the word "horse"... |

![]() Well in fairness most people forget the Oscar winners almost immediately after they win even if they watched the ceremony. I mean they could probably be reminded, but if you ask who won the award for whatever last year, good luck on that one. Much time doesn't even need to have passed. A matter of days or weeks. It's nothing to do with how many people saw the movies. It's just a brain dump that people do. They are inundated with photos and entertainment articles on it to a far greater degree than horse racing pulls unless it's Smarty Jones or Barbaro.
Could they tell you who won the World Series a matter of months ago? Or the Super Bowl? Maybe not. I bet most people would have to take a minute. |

Also, those are all yearly events, more akin to naming the Derby winner. The TC is supposed to be super special. I CAN tell you who won soccer's World Cup last time out, an event that happens once in 4 years, even though I'm not a huge soccer fan.
