![]() Just because a trainer doesn't publicly show emotion about an injured horse doesn't mean they don't care about it. So what if Todd Pletcher didn't sprint to Fleet Indians side with tears streaming down his face. He didn't look too happy in the photos of him by her side waiting for 30 minutes for the horse ambulance to get there. And anyone that thinks Wayne is absolutely heartless when it comes to his horses, needs to have the man tell you the story of Landaluce. He was cradling her head when she died. His eyes didn't look very dry while he told me that story.
Oh, and his face lights up just the same when you ask him about some of the champions he trained. |
