When you think of the NBA. 15 players a team, 32 teams. 480, add coaches and staff, maybe 1200. MLB, double that and NFL triple that. But still.

Horse Racing is a livelihood for a tremendous amount of people. A good livelihood. They work hard, long hours. I admire all of them.
Maybe I am optimistic but knowing Gamblers love of Action I could see those at the Sports book watching games throwing some money at a race or 3..

Absolutely. I believe it is more likely a guy watching his team lose might get up and take a shot on a race. Not to mention games takes hours for a result and races are minutes.

Question - in NJ will the bettor have to go to the track or casino to bet sports or can we bet online or phone if not able to get there ?

Great show today Steve, was listening on my commute in. Your coverage of the issue and discussion with Johnny D was excellent.

Johnny was quite right that currently Borgata is only racebook in Atlantic City. Consequently it is now the only casino I go to in NJ.

I hope this is a positive for racing even marginally.

IT'S OFFICIAL!! 7-2 DECISION!

While I was confident the SC would rule in favor of NJ, I thought it would be 6-3 or 5-4. Ginsburg and Sotomayor were the dissenting opinion.

This is a long time coming and hats off to NJ for fighting so long for it. Monmouth Park should reap some serious benefits starting very soon.
