So your point is Songbird and Beholder should have ran a 45 second half so Forever would take advantage and close on them? While the pace was not blistering it was still 23 and 47 which isn't walking. Forever was close enough to them on the far turn but could not run them down and had a really nice trip. The top two ran the race the way they should and were better under the conditions of the race.

Beholder was best in the Distaff and it wasn't close.

Songbird was 3rd best IMO the debate would be between UF and Beholder who chased wide.

McCracken...many wins at CD PLeuven....won race last year Unbridled Song...lost to the best in the distaff GUN RUNNER....you know why..I hope the lasix is not a problem cough cough ....choke choke.. I hardly see the screen with all the chalk in the air ![]() |

The pace was fair enough, she just wasnt good enough. What I am hearing is if the pace was blistering and the race fell apart she would have won...hardly makes her best in that race.
