Don selected Belmont and seems to be busy with real life activities, so I'm going to take the initiative on his behalf. He can fire me if he disagrees.

Many of us have already started to handicap the Belmont races and some have purchased or otherwise obtained the pp's. Changing tracks at this hour doesn't make sense to me. Besides, I looked in at some Pimlico races this afternoon and they were off the turf already and very muddy. The storm that will hit New York (and then ME) is coming from that direction.

Until we officially hear that Belmont had cancelled, our contest is a GO. I'd recommend that you check tomorrow morning to see whether any of the turf races have been moved to the main track (they often move the lesser races to the main and leave the major stakes races on the turf courses if they can), and be prepared for LOTS of scratches.

I will post the threads right away.

Don, my apologies if this doesn't match your thinking.

Fine, no problem. Yes I'm pulling evening hours this week since we have a contractor doing some demo on a building at the zoo. 5-midnight . . . not much fun and messes with my normality or what normality I have left.

Fine here. We've been known to have 3 horse fields. Get the horses some life belts or water wings and tell them that they seem to like it if they are in a pasture. They look more like hippos than horses.

And forget it being fine here. Thunderclouds are rolling in now in Tampa.
Try having to use Clorox on an Appaloosa after it's been rolling in front of the pasture gate. Especially if it's been out in the sun while you were at work and are trying to clean it up before you feed it dinner. Just getting the mud out of the ears could take a half hour. Manure, urine, limestone muck... Those were the days.
