You spent $600 on an exacta? In other words, half of a mortgage payment.
![]() I had to look to see if it was one of Gulfstream's favorite races to card, the ol $6,250 claimer. I don't know you from a can of paint, but I'd imagine too many losses of this caliber would drive ya from the game completely, no matter how much one wins at the windows. I lost $1650 the Day before the TB Derby and I was seriously contemplating cutting all ties to horse racing. Made close to 5k over the next two days, but even at that point I didn't possess the cajônes to toss $600 on one race over arguably the worst surfaces in the game. Gulfstream's turf course looks like complete **** and their dirt course is well documented as being horrible. Best of luck to those playing today (some more than others) !!

9 wins R6 and pays $8.20.
$61.50 ( the Oaklawn bets are paid for, now time to attack FG's late P4, as I've identified that sequence as paying boxcars if somehow hit ) !! LFG!

![]() You still had enough bullets left in the gun to have at it the next day and make a nice hit. ![]() You could have at least mentioned the other $240 he bet in that race in doubles, for a total of $840. |

If it weren't for me going through the PP's and seeing a potential 6-1 on Fifty Five, I probably wouldn't have even wagered that next day. Funny how things like that work out. I chose not to mention the $240 bc that's at least a believable wager (and I didn't want that DT stalwart StickNick coming at my neck with his first ever post, a feat I clearly couldn't avoid ). I want mostly EVERYONE on this board to crush it, yes, including rht believe it or not. His opinions are super sharp most of the time. I'll leave it at that.
